National Vegetation Classification (NVC)

NVC or Phase 2 surveys are a widely used method of assessing different habitat types, by carrying out a botanical survey using standard data collection methods.  As part of woodland management prescriptions, we carry out thorough and user-friendly NVC surveys, including implications for management.  Examples of previous surveys and survey templates can be provided on request.  We specialise in ancient semi-natural woodland surveys, but frequently survey sites with young plantations of trees as well as a mosaic of different habitat types typically found in the countryside.
