About Us
Native Forestry is a small, independent business run by two conscientious forest managers. Established since 2005, we are dedicated to providing excellent services which promote the planting, management and conservation of native woodland.
Forest Managers
Nick Barnes BSc. MSc. PhD (NPTC CS30.1, CS30.2, CS31, PA1, PA6A; Licensed bat worker; Distinction in MSc Environmental Forestry, Bangor).
Emma Barnes BSc. MSc (NPTC CS30.1, CS30.2, CS31, PA1, PA6A; Licensed bat worker; Distinction in MSc Environmental Forestry, Bangor).
Where Are We?
We are based in the National Forest in south Derbyshire, but also work throughout the East Midlands, West Midlands and occasionally in southern England.
Clients
Clients include the Forestry Commission and National Forest Company, as well as a number of private landowners and other forestry companies. Health and Safety/ Insurance/ Qualifications

Health and safety is taken very seriously; our policy can be provided on request. An ABC Response trained first aider is on site at all times.

Insurance certificates are also provided on request (Public Liability £5 million & Professional Indemnity £500,000).

Training and Qualifications are key priorities for both managers; we continue to attend a variety of ecological and management courses each year. Course providers include IEEM and FSC.
